CU Prostrate Cancer Awareness Bear Clip Art

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer. I know November's almost over but better late then never I say, lol.

Since my husband's father passed from Prostate Cancer, his uncle just finished treatment, and his brother is showing signs of having it, (we'll get the results within a week), I created some CU Prostrate Cancer Awareness Clip Art Bears, there are both boys and girls. I'm a licensed reseller of ©Resale Clipart and used their line art to create these one of a kind bears, one of a kind I say because I coloured them myself using the colours for Prostrate Cancer and there are no others out there.

The clip art sets are being sold for $2 each and all the proceeds will be donated to Prostrate Cancer Research, so it's like your making a donation, but also getting adorable CU clip arts.
I will be creating some awareness ribbons as well shortly.

Femme Fatale is a stunningly huge collaboration between Valentina's Creations and Mystique Designs and it's absolutely gorgeous!!

Both parts of the collab are available at 7th Heaven, and Valentina's portion is also available at her store, Valentina's Creations (previews are directly linked to the product)

Today I worked with Valentina's portion of the collab, which is available as both a bundle and kit.

The Bundle contains, the Kit which includes 89, elements, 10 papers, the Clusters, QP Album and Glitter Styles, which are also available separately.

For my layout I choose to work with the bundle, as I wanted to use the wonderful glitter styles to accent the frame I used, and also for the writting.

This kit/bundle is just truly beautiful, and being called Femme Fatale, well I just had to scrap my 4 daughters with it, because the kit has items in it the each love, lol.

I'm so very excited and honored to announce that extremely talented designer Valentina, of Valentina's Creations is having a CT Call, and I was not only picked to be on her team, but also Valentina asked me to be her CT Head, and help her run the team along with Angel Jet aka Henriette who is the new CT Head Assistant.

Valentina is a very talented designer with very unique style of illustrated wonderful kits which she illustrates herself, as well as other beautiful kits. Beautiful Swan Script by Joanne's Digital Designs!!

I had to share this gorgeous Swan Script from Joanne's Digital Designs with you!

It's just stunning, I love it, hense me having to share it.

What makes it so awesome is not only can you chose the colours of your swans and the roses/leaves, but you can also choose your own pattern or use the one that comes with the script. For example if you use a lace one, it looks beautiful and would be great for a wedding kit

Ivy Scraps Designer Contest Week 5 - Vote & Freebie (last week)

Well this is Week 5 in the Ivy Scraps Designer Contest, and for our last asignment we were to create a Heritage mini with 4 papers, 6 elements one of which must be a grosgrain ribbon that was made by you without a commercial use product, with a strong focus on ribbons/bows/fibers/flowers and have at least one clustered element this week, using the colour palette provided.

As I have not done a Heritage kit before it was a bit of a challenge, but found that I liked it, lol.

Ivy Scraps Designer Contest Week 3 - Vote & Freebie

For week 3's designer challenge at Ivy Scraps we had to pick our favoirte colour and make our own monotone color palette, then create a kit about us and what we like, our favorite flower, things to do, reading, writing etc...

I had a hard time choosing between blues and purples, but after discussing it with my family they said go blue, so that's what I did, lol. There are Angels, a cross, unicorn, writing instruments, cat, butterflies and roses, and the pearl Angel is of significance to me as pearls are my birthstone. As you can tell Angels are very much a part of me, the EAL in my designer name stands for Enchanted Angel Lisa, lol as I also love enchanted/fantasy things, hense the unicorn. I love my family too, but was hard to incorporate them all so I put the Angel holding the baby to represent motherhood. I clustered elements so that I could fit in as much of me as I could, lol. There's so much more I wanted to add to this kit, but since we're supposed to only have 6 elements, well I did 7, I had to stop. I see this kit continuing in the near future, lol.

Anyways there are 4 papers, and 7 elements, all 300dpi and 12x12, shadows for display only.

Ivy Scraps Designer Contest Week 2 - Vote & Freebie

Wow this weeks challenge at Ivy Scraps was a lot tougher, as everything had to be made from scratch, no CU allowed with the exception of CU fonts for the alpha and word art.

We were allowed to use what came with our program, textures, brushes, shapes, or ones we make ourselves only. No use of extracted scans or photographs, and no clip arts were allowed, so it was a great learning experience that's for sure, but I must say it was a lot of fun.

We had to have the following in the kit to meet the criteria:

4 papers one of which must be plaid, 6 elements, which must have the following: 1 flower, 1 word art, and 1 journaling tag, and an alpha (upper & lower), the rest was up to us.

The theme was Romance, and the colour scheme is below

A Charity collab for my daughter Kimberly, 19 who was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on July 6th, 2010.

This kit contains some Hodgkin's Lymphoma and Lymphoma awareness items, but is mostly a kit created with every scrapper in mind, and can be used for any occasion as you can see from the slide show above.

This kit was created with the help of some very talented designers to help raise funds for Kimberly to cover costs that are not covered by our health care. Medications, treatments, a wig, gas, parking, as well as her other bills as she is unable to work.

100% of the proceeds of this kit will go to Kim to support her with her battle against this horrible disease.

Your purchase of this kit is greatly appreciated.

This is a huge charity collab with the contribution of 43 designers and contains:

903 Elements (127 are CU), 327 Papers (27 are CU) and 8 Alphas

It is approximately 2.15GB and valued at over $150-$200 as it contains both PU/S4H/S4O and CU items.

Charity kit for my daughter

On June 7th, they discovered a tumor on my 2nd eldest daughter, Kim's lung. She's 19.

After much testing etc...we were told on July 6th that she has Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

She must undergo two more tests to make sure it's not higher then the Stage 2, one being a Bone Marrow Biopsy, to make sure the cancer hasn't entered into her bone marrow.

In honor of my daughter, and to help her with costs that are not covered, and her bills as she will be unable to work until all treatments are finished (approx 6 months), I am working with

some very kind and generious designers who offered to help out by contirbuting to make this a mega kit

which will be sold both here on my blog, The Creativity Box, and My Scrap Store.

Below is the colour palette chosen as Violet is the colour for Hodgkin's Lymphoma Awarenss

and Green is for Lymphoma Awareness.

I'd like it to not just be about awareness, but to be something anyone can use as well, upbeat, and positive.

The name of the kit is: Courage, Strength, and Love - Tools to fight

(as the doctors said this is what she'll need to fight and beat this)

It will be a Hodgkin's Lymphoma Awareness kit, with so much more so that anyone can use it.

Also if you could send up some prayers for Kim, we'd really appreciate it, as we believe in the power of prayer.

To the person(s) who keeps leaving anonymous messages spamming my blog on every post, PLEASE STOP!!!

As you can see I moderate my messages, and will only keep rejecting them! although I must say you really are getting on my nerves, 10 messages in a 1 hour period, come on, get real.

No one cares about your links for male inhansements, medications, or links to spam sites, and I for one refuse to allow them to be posted.

I have to tell you all about the most fantastic new product I've found by Tallula Moon Designs

it's a 2010 Designer Planner, made specifically for designers to keep track of their work.

This planner is a must have for any designer or store owner!!

It is a printable hybird project, that is truly fantastic and will keep you so organized.

If you're anything like I am you have notes/notebooks/sticky notes all over the place with info on what store collabs you have to do, theme, when they're due, etc...but half the time they end up lost or worse yet accidently thrown out.

With this planner you have everything you need at your finger tips, all you do is print, fold, create your book, and whala, it's there for you to put in all the info you need in one place, and if you need more pages, well you just have to print them up.

I'd like to introduce my newst kit

'For Tammy' a Breast Cancer Awareness kit.

I've made this kit in honor of my neighbour Tammy, who at only 32 years old was diagnoised 3 months ago with breast cancer.

The kit is my way of showing Tammy what a great person she is, and to help her and her family as well as the Breast Cancer Research Fund.

The kit has 20 papers, 142 elements and 1 alpha, and sells for $6.00, with half of the proceeds going to Tammy and her family to help them out during these tough times, as she is obviously unable to work while getting treatment. The other half will be donated to Breast Cancer Research.

My youngest daughter, Filomena, is participating in the Jump Rope For Heart Campaign for the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of my Grandfather who suffered 8 strokes and survived.

She is trying to raise funds through a website set up through the Heart & Stroke Foundation, where you can go and leave a donation in any amount, and it goes directly to them.

Some new layouts to share

My dear friend Jacque(Restored Elegance) was looking for someone to make some layout with her awesome kits, so of course I jumped at the chance. These first 2 below are made with her Soft Spoken Kit, it's a very pretty kit in soft blues and yellows, and is only $1, great buy.

This one is Filomena a couple of years back, but one of my favorite pictures of her. I did this for a scraplift challenge at Groovy Scraps.
This one is of Kim meeting Zeus for the first time, he's her own birthday kitty, and funny thing is, today is his first birthday.

This is me on my wedding day, I love this pic, and used it for a template challenge also at Groovy Scraps. I used my Rose of my Heart Kit for it, which you can find in any of my stores
